Room Service Tonight?

Just curious, does ordering food in a hotel robe under crisp white bed sheets count as a love language? If so then i'm fluent at it. I'm all about a good itinerary when i'm away but with that being said, I will always make room for a night in. In fact I've cancelled plans just to feel like I'm fully appreciating my hotel room. Oh the joy of "missing out".

There's something about that moment knowing your order is on the way, movie on and a gorgeous nights sleep ahead. Your food is wheeled in on a nice white table cloth and that right there is my idea of happiness. Maybe this all stems from childhood. I grew up on the beautiful island Mauritius from the age 3 to 10 years old. My father was managing the One & Only resort at the time and my sisters and i would spend every weekend at the hotel. Admittedly to no fault of my own i started to believe it was my home! You see you can't blame me for being the ultimate hotel diva but don't worry I was gently reminded that was not the case. I associate small hotel moments like ordering room service to core childhood memories. The wave of nostalgia offers me a great sense of comfort and calmness, especially when a spaghetti bolognese is on the way.
From a breakfast on the go at Le Bristol Paris, tapas at The Edition Barcelona to a club sandwich at Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives, every single photo brings a smile to my face. Hotels are a home away from home, and i believe they should evoke such sentiment. To my hotel lovers out there i hope reading this will bring back memories of your favourite room service orders and to that i may add favourite hotel bathrobe? I invite you to share these moments with the Suite Escape under our 'contact' section online or on our Instagram page @thesuiteescape.travel. We look forward to you joining the journey!
